If you buy a special event ticket and it gets canceled do you get a refund or a voucher to come back?

Hey, Jaime! This is a great question, so I am glad you stopped by to chat with us. I personally have never had a special event that I planned to attend to get canceled. However, I do have friends that have had their plans change, so I will share with you their experience. Canceled events are a very rare occurrence, but things do happen, especially when Mother Nature is involved! Safety is of the utmost importance at Walt Disney World Resort, so be assured that if your special event does end up being canceled, that it was done with your safety in mind.

To my knowledge, when special events such as Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party would have to be canceled, guests would receive a refund. You could call in to speak with a Cast Member about your family being accommodated at another evening's scheduled special event. If you are staying at a Disney Resort Hotel at that time, I encourage you to stop by Concierge at your resort to chat with them about the event. You never know what pixie dust may find you!

Again, know that it is a very rare occurrence that any event at Walt Disney World Resort is canceled. Do not let the thoughts of it deter you from making magical plans as these events can take your overall vacation from practically perfect to supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! Thanks so much for bringing your question to us and please let us know if you have any others!
