I want to buy a Premier Pass for Magic Kingdom for one day and then get Park Hopper tickets for the other two days of my trip. I obviously don’t want to pay for three days of Park Hopper since I’ll be spending the entire day at MK with the Premier Pass.

Hey there, Shavein! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for stopping by with your question!

I’m so glad you’re thinking about getting the Lightning Lane Premier Pass for Magic Kingdom. It’s such a great way to maximize your time. With the Premier Pass, you’ll get one-time access to each available Lightning Lane experience at the park that day, without having to book return times. It really adds a level of flexibility and efficiency to your visit! And at Magic Kingdom, that’s up to 19 attractions, which is plenty to keep you busy all day.

Now, since you plan to use the Premier Pass for your Magic Kingdom day and don’t need Park Hopper access for that day, you have a couple of options. You can buy a 1-day ticket for Magic Kingdom and then a 2-day ticket with Park Hopper for the other days. However, it’s often more economical to purchase a 3-day ticket with Park Hopper. I recommend pricing both ticket options on the Walt Disney World website to see what works best for your budget.

As for purchasing Lightning Lane Premier Pass, you’ll need active theme park admission first. Once your tickets are linked to your My Disney Experience account, you can buy the Premier Pass starting 7 days before your trip (if staying at a Disney Resort hotel) or 3 days before your first park day (for off-site guests). Just tap the “Lightning Lane Passes” tile in the My Disney Experience app for current availability and pricing when your window opens.

Finally, don’t forget to link everyone in your group through your Family & Friends list so you can buy Premier Passes for everyone in your party. The price is per person, per day, so make sure to select who you want to include when you purchase.

And while you’re in Magic Kingdom, treat yourself to some delicious snacks! The Cheeseburger Spring Rolls in Adventureland are a favorite of mine, and the Crème Brûlée Croissant at Gaston’s Tavern is absolutely worth a try. Of course, you can never go wrong with a classic Dole Whip!

I hope this clears things up, Shavein! If you have any more questions, I’m happy to help. Have a magical trip!
