Welcome back to planDisney, Susie! It sounds like you’re gearing up for a magical day, and
the Premier Pass is definitely one of the best ways to make the most of your time in the parks.
At this time, the Premier Pass can only be purchased through the
official Disneyland app. The pass becomes available for you to buy up to seven days before your visit. On or after that seventh day, simply open the Disneyland app, follow the on-screen steps, and you’ll receive a confirmation once the transaction is complete.
It’s worth noting that you won’t find the Premier Pass stored alongside your standard theme park admission tickets in the app. Instead, the pass will appear under “Today’s Plans” once you’ve entered the park. There, you’ll see the “My Day” feature, which acts as your hub for using the Premier Pass. This screen will show which Lightning Lane attractions are available, as well as which ones you’ve already redeemed. And unlike the Multi Pass option, there’s no advance booking needed. Just walk up to the Lightning Lane entrance for your chosen attraction and scan your ticket to enter!
Right next to “My Day,” you’ll find the “Tip Board.” This tool is a great companion during your park day, displaying live attraction wait times, whether Lightning Lane access is offered, and dining details like
mobile order availability or
walk-up list times. I often recommend checking the Tip Board frequently throughout the day. It’s like having your own personal park guide in your pocket.
Here’s a Q-tip: aim to arrive early. Being among the first Guests in the park allows you to take advantage of shorter standby lines for rides not included with Lightning Lane access. You might even squeeze in a cheerful ride on Dumbo the Flying Elephant or take a spin on the Silly Symphony Swings before the queues get busy.
With the Premier Pass in hand, you’ll be all set to enjoy a smoother, more magical day at Disneyland. And remember, Susie, if more questions pop up, planDisney is always here to help guide the way.
Wishing you an adventure filled with pixie dust and plenty of happy memories,
David
