If I buy a personalized object for instance a book, am i required to purchase the memory maker for the image to appear in good quality?

Welcome to planDisney, Mariana! It looks like you had a recent Walt Disney World Resort visit, so I hope you don't have the "Disney Blues!" My husband says I always mope around for a few days after we return from the theme parks. The only cure I've found is to book another visit! It also helps to look at my trip photos, so let's discuss purchasing the best souvenir I know...photo gifts.

I have photo blocks, holiday ornaments, coffee mugs, and more to commemorate my family's Disney trips. In most cases, I don't purchase the photos separately. To get started, I choose the "Purchase Personalized Photo Products" option at the bottom of the PhotoPass page.

The photo quality of the items I've bought is typically excellent, but remember that the resolution probably won't be as high as it would be for a digital photo. The medium where the image is placed will impact its clarity. For example, the picture on my photo mug isn't as sharp as a digital copy because the cup is shiny and curved. If you're after the highest resolution of an image, I think your idea of a photo book is an excellent option.

I chatted with a paparazzi Cast Member who confirmed that the photo quality of your item would be the same whether you've purchased Memory Maker or that photo individually. So, shop away for those photo gifts! I can't wait to see what you choose.

Marianna, I hope your recent visit was picture-perfect. I vote you plan your next one soon! Thanks again for stopping by planDisney; we're always happy to help.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
