Hello, If I buy a park hopper and I get all my lighting and book only rides for the afternoon. Would I be able to go to a different park in the morning (to eat) and not use any lighting lanes? Would that affect it at all?

    Hi Cassiopeia!

Thanks for coming back to visit us at planDisney!

I’m happy to report that you’re more than welcome to book your Lightning Lane pre-selections at the second park you plan to visit, as long as you have a valid park hopper linked to your account.

Just remember…you will not be able to book another Lightning Lane on your park day until after you scan into your first one. So, I recommend choosing a return time as close as possible to the time you plan to get to that park.

As you choose your pre-selections, you can modify the times that work best with your itinerary based on availability. But if you don’t snag a return time you were hoping for, you can always check back leading up to your trip and on your park day to see if any other availability opens up. If it does, you’ll be able to modify it then!

In addition to Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you’ll also be able to purchase up to two Lightning Lane Single Passes per day. And since you have a park hopper, those two attractions do not need to be in the same park. I love getting a Lightning Lane Single Pass at my first park when I make my Lightning Lane pre-selections for my second park! It really helps the flow of the morning!

It’s also good to note that, if you have a ticket type that requires a park reservation, you’ll want to make your park reservation for the very first park you plan to visit, even if you won’t be using Lightning Lane Multi Pass there. If you have a date-based theme park ticket, though, you won’t need to worry about making a park reservation.

I hope that helps! If you have any other questions as you continue to plan, feel free to ask! Have the best trip!
