If I buy the one park a day kid’s passes, can I go to a waterpark instead of a theme park for one of those days or do I only have access to the theme parks?

    Hi Samantha!

Welcome to planDisney! The Kids Ticket Offer this summer is incredible! I’m so excited you’ll be able to take advantage of that.

If you purchase the 1 Park Per Day ticket, it will only be able to be used for the theme parks: Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Epcot, and Animal Kingdom. But if heading to the water park is a priority, you’ll have a few other options.

First of all, instead of the 1 Park Per Day ticket, you may be interested in the Water Park and Sports option ticket. With that ticket type, you’ll get access to the number of park days you choose, plus an equal amount of extra experiences (which includes entry to the water parks!).

For example, if you plan to spend 3 days at the theme parks, you could get a 3-day Water Park and Sports option ticket. With that ticket, you would be able to visit the theme parks on 3 days, plus you’ll have 3 extra experiences. Those extra experiences include the water parks, golfing, mini golfing, and more. You can use those extra experiences on the same day you visit a theme park or on a different day of your trip. Your choice! Just check out the ticket details, so you know all about what it offers.

Next up, it’s good to note that if you’re staying at a Disney World resort, you’ll get to enjoy free entry to the water park on your arrival day. Such a great perk for resort guests! If you qualify for that, you may not need to worry about a water park ticket after all.

And finally, you can always buy a separate water park ticket in addition to the theme park ticket. I recommend pricing out your options to see which one would work best for you! Depending on what you’re hoping for with your itinerary, it might end up being a better value to decrease your number of theme park days and purchase a water park ticket instead.

I hope that helps! If you have any other questions as you continue to plan, feel free to come back and visit us!
