Hey Rita, thanks for dropping by planDisney with your question about
Walt Disney World and Theme Park Tickets! There have been some changes recently with ticket types and reservations, so you’ve come to the right place. Buying a one-day ticket is possible, so let’s dive into the different options you have for your upcoming visit.
Theme Park Tickets are date-based, which means you will choose the specific day you would like to visit at the time of purchase. You will have some additional decisions to make as well: if you would like to visit more than one theme park that day, you will need to select the Park Hopper option. If you want to visit multiple theme parks and a water park, you will select the Park Hopper Plus option. You will be happy to know that as of January 9th, date-based tickets no longer require a park reservation if you go with the Park Hopper/Park Hopper Plus, but park availability will depend on capacity limits.
If you choose either Park Hopper option don’t forget about the available,
complimentary transportation. Interested in visiting EPCOT from the Magic Kingdom, it is just a monorail ride away! Or, how about a relaxing FriendShip Boat ride that will take you from Hollywood Studios to EPCOT!
I hope you enjoy your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, Rita! Come back to planDisney with any follow-up questions you may have!
