Guests with
eligible resort reservations can pre-order
MagicBand+ online through their
My Disney Experience account. If your check-in date is at least 11 days out, your bands will be delivered to your home, assuming it’s a US-based address. Purchases made 6 to 10 days before your trip will ship to your Disney Resort hotel's
Front Desk. Once you reach 5 days or less before your check-in date, bands are no longer available for purchase or customization online.
It looks like your arrival timing is shy of the resort delivery option, but not to worry. In my experience, the resort gift shops usually have a solid selection of bands to choose from. You can also visit the larger shops in the parks, like
Emporium in Magic Kingdom and
Creations Shop in EPCOT, or even
World of Disney in Disney Springs, to review the selection.
Once you've found the perfect design to suit your style, bands can quickly be
linked to your My Disney Experience app, and then used for entry into the parks with linked admission as well as Lightning Lane entrances with the purchase of
Lightning Lane Passes. Just
be sure the bands are fully charged before linking them to your app. I make a habit of charging my band overnight each time, but don't worry if you forget before falling into your comfy resort bed full of magic after a day in the parks. Your band will still work for park entry, Mobile Food Orders, and opening your resort room door, even if the battery isn’t at full capacity. You’ll just miss some of the interactive features if your band isn’t revved up and flashing green when you press the button on the back.
