Greetings and welcome to planDisney, Margaret. It sounds like you're in full planning mode for a magical visit to the Disneyland Resort. Woohoo! Well, let's get down to business and chat about this accessory that will make things a bit more convenient (and fun) during your visit.
Based on some
intel from my panelist pal, Corey, it seems that the
MagicBand+ unfortunately is no longer available for purchase on-site at the resort. The good news is that you have plenty of time before your visit and there are still plenty of MagicBand+ options for you to choose from at the
Disney Store online.
When it comes to customization, there unfortunately aren't any options to personalize your band. You can, however,
customize the Light Up Theme for your band to fit your personality. Just open the
Disneyland app and tap the "☰" to open the menu. Scroll down and tap "MagicBand+," then tap on your MagicBand+ and then tap "Change Color" for your Light Up Theme. You can also adjust the vibration and gesture recognition by tapping the "Settings" button.
I love using my MagicBand+ whenever I visit Disneyland. It's so easy and convenient to tap in at the front entrance gates and at any Lightning Lane entrances. It also brings me extra joy to see my MagicBand+ interacting with some of the nighttime spectaculars. And there's even a fun little interactive offering right now at the Main Street Cinema where you can get a commemorative ticket from Tilly herself.
