planDisney! Thanks for bringing this question to us. You’re only a couple of weeks away from your trip to the
Happiest Place on Earth, which is very exciting. Let’s talk about
MagicBand+!
I hate to say it, but the Disneyland Resort is no longer selling MagicBand+ on-site. I know there is something special about seeing the long skinny box in person, and perusing the awesome styles, colors, and themes, but the best way to purchase a MagicBand is on
DisneyStore.com or the
Walt Disney World Website. They both have a great selection, and if you order soon, you should be able to have them shipped to you before your trip!
Fear not, MagicBand+ still has the same functionality it always had, including tapping into the parks, tapping in for Lightning Lane reservations, linking photos with a
PhotoPass photographer, and various light-up effects during attractions and shows. Keep in mind that MagicBand+ is used a little differently at Disneyland Resort than at
Walt Disney World. You cannot open your hotel room or make payments with your MagicBand+ at Disneyland Resort. Also, you’ll need to link your ticket or
Magic Key to your MagicBand instead of linking your account!
If you’re at the parks after August 20th, you’ll get to experience
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort. It’s so much fun to see all the festive fall decorations and the characters dressed in their spooky costumes. Don’t forget to check
