Can I buy a loaf of bread and bananas at Walt Disney Swan and Dolphin? They won't accept perishable grocery delivery.

    Heigh-Ho McKenzie,

Making sure you have some of the comforts from Home, at your Walt Disney World Home Away From Home, is important and if it’s bread and bananas well let’s make that happen.

After speaking to Guest Relations, at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels and while yes the hotels currently can not store perishable items for Guests, Guests can still have groceries delivered if they are there to meet the grocery service at the time of delivery. Another option, if your grocery list contains basic food items, is to take a leisurely stroll to the Disney Boardwalk’s Screen Door General Store. Here Guests can purchase staple items anyone would find in their pantry as well as some incredible bakery items for a little sweet treat.  Screen Door General Store is your one-stop shop.

And while you are at Disney’s Boardwalk, grab lunch or dinner from the Pizza Window to enjoy right then and there or to-go. But definitely check out the new sweet shop in town, BoardWalk Ice Cream. This brand new addition has just opened up to rave reviews and already has Guests Screaming for more Ice Cream. And when it’s time to stroll back to your resort grab your grocery items and continue on with your magical day.

I hope this has been helpful and may your upcoming stay be filled with many magical and memorable moments.

    Have a Practically Perfect Day,

    Amy M.

I am a Dreamer who has always believed dreams are meant to be the path to your future. Walt Disney, I believe, felt the same way, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." Disney has always been proof that endless imagination and the passion to make them come to fruition is possible. I will never be to old for Disney, it is home to all of us Dreamers.
