Hey there Maria,
Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for your question! I'm thrilled to hear that you're planning a trip to the Disneyland Resort for you and your family.
To visit one of the theme parks of the Disneyland Resort, you'll need both valid
theme park tickets and
theme park reservations for each day you plan to visit. Once you buy your tickets, they won't expire for quite awhile - for example, if you purchase multi-day tickets on the Disneyland Resort website today then they won't expire until January 12, 2026. After you've purchased the tickets then you have until their expiration date to use them.
To actually enter a park on any given day, you'll need those theme park reservations for each day you plan to visit. Park reservations are subject to availability and, from my experience, can often get booked up and unavailable for same-day visits. Therefore, I'd highly recommend not waiting until the day of your visit to set these park reservations! You can see current availability on the
Park Reservation Availability Calendar.
Luckily, your park reservations are extremely flexible and can be changed quickly and easily from the
My Plans hub. My recommendation would be to purchase your tickets today, and as part of the purchase process, you'll be prompted to make your theme park reservations. Since these can be changed at any time after the purchase, you can feel free to select the date(s) you're currently planning to visit and then adjust them as you get closer as long as there are still park reservations available.
Thanks again for your question, Maria! I hope you and your family have a wonderful time visiting the Happiest Place on Earth!
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
