Hi there, Stoney, and welcome to planDisney!
It looks like your visit to the Disneyland Resort is coming up very soon! Oh boy! I'm really excited for you to see the Resort in its post Holiday Season state. It's traditionally been a time where crowds are generally lower, so hopefully the Parks will be less congested during your stay.
When you purchase
Theme Park Tickets through the Disneyland website, they will be linked to your Disney account. Therefore, when you open the
Disneyland Mobile App and log in to your account, the tickets will already be there ready for you to access. Tickets purchased through a third party will sometimes need to be linked to your account in order for you to see them in the App. This can be done on the website by pulling down the menu under "My Disneyland" and selecting "Link Tickets." You'll need to manually enter the ticket ID number to link it to your account.
When you're ready to enter Disneyland Park, both the Downtown Disney
Monorail Station and the Main Entrance Gate function the same. If you've got a valid ticket and reservation for that day, then you may utilize either entrance. There is no need to enter through the Main Entrance Gates first. Of course, all
Park Hopping rules still apply, so you'll need a reservation for Disneyland Park specifically if entering before 11 a.m.
Fun Fact:
the Disneyland Monorail opened on June 14, 1959 and the opening ceremony was attended by none other than Vice President Richard Nixon. The ribbon cutting scissors used by Nixon's daughters would not cooperate, so Walt Disney himself had to step in and provide some assistance.
Stoney, I hope that this was helpful information for you and that you have a truly magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. Please visit us again if you need anything further because we'd love to hear from you in the future. We'll see ya real soon!
Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
