Can I buy a Disney dining plan if I am staying at an official Walt Disney world hotel?

Hey there, Lorrie! Welcome to planDisney. If there's one thing I love doing on a Walt Disney World Resort vacation, it's eating. Adding a dining plan sounds like a marvelous idea, so let's look at how you can do that for your upcoming trip.

I spoke with a well-fed Cast Member who informed me that dining plans can be added up to 48 hours before arrival. Given that you're nearing that deadline, I strongly recommend you call Disney Resort Hotel Reservations at your earliest convenience to explore your options.

Dining plans can only be added to vacation packages that bundle Disney Resort Hotel stays with Theme Park Tickets, so you might have to change your booking to a package first. I'm wishing on a star you can add the dining plan of your dreams, Lorrie!

The Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan would work best for my family. We tend to go-go-go on Disney trips, so we typically don't spend much time at restaurants. You can review the details of both dining plans online to determine which one will work best for your party.

Mobile Food Ordering is my favorite feature of the My Disney Experience mobile app. You can place your order on the app, pay for it, and even choose a return time for your meal. Once you arrive at the restaurant, tap "I'm here!" and your food appears like magic. As someone who plans lunch during breakfast, this feature was made for me! And you don't need a dining plan to take advantage of this convenient feature.

Lorrie, I'm sprinkling pixie dust and powdered sugar so your visit will be full of food and fun. Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
