Hi Michelle and welcome to
planDisney! I’m so happy to see that you have plans to visit the Walt Disney World Resort in May. It’s one of my favorite times of year to visit!
The
Florida Resident Discover Disney Ticket is one of the best deals for Mickey’s neighbors all year long. As a Florida Resident myself, I know my family and friends look forward to it every Spring.
I would say, go ahead and enjoy your tickets. If availability for
Walt Disney World Annual Passes does return before you’ve used up all the days you’ve purchased, you can absolutely apply the price you’ve paid for your ticket to the annual pass. The one caveat is that your pass would expire on the first day you used your ticket and not on the day you purchased your annual pass.
Michelle, it’s also really important to remember that you can only make this transaction, where you apply the price paid for tickets to an annual pass, in person. You will not be able to do it over the phone. I made the mistake of leaving the parks for the weekend and decided on a Monday that I wanted an annual pass. I wasn’t able to do it. It needs to be done at a theme park ticket window or at the
Disney Springs Guest Services location.
I hope this information has been helpful! If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back to see us. It’s always our pleasure to help you with all the details of your next
magical visit!
