If I buy a discounted ticket to Disney, can I link it to my magic band? Also, can I link a Disney gift card to my magic band to make purchases in the park?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Stanley! I’m happy to know that you’re planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! Thanks for sending us your question.

Linking your theme park ticket to your My Disney Experience account can be easy as 1, 2, 3! Just follow the directions on this link to add theme park tickets, MagicBands, Disney Resort hotel reservations, Memory Maker and Disney restaurant reservations to your account. As long as a valid theme park ticket is linked to your account, you will be able to use any of your active MagicBands.

Stanley, when it comes to using your Disney Gift Cards, there is a way to be able to use the value of them with your MagicBand. It will only work if you are a guest at a Disney Resort hotel. You can visit the Front desk of your hotel and let the Cast Member know that you would like to use your Disney Gift Card as a credit on your hotel room bill. You can also call (407) 939-1936 before your visit to add those gift cards to your account balance.

Any purchases made with your MagicBand would go directly to your final bill, so your gift card amount will cover some of those purchases. Any additional charges would go on the credit card you have on file.

I hope this information is helpful to you as you continue to plan your visit. Please feel free to come back to see us if you have any more questions. Helping you with the details of your next magical visit is our pleasure!
