Hi Amy,
Adding a dining plan to my vacation is one of my favorite ways to treat my family to a week full of fabulous food while we are on vacation. I was so excited that they brought this option back for vacation planning this year because it truly makes your trip feel all-inclusive and helps with budgeting before you leave.
All of
Disney's dining plan options will be based on the number of nights you have booked at a Disney Resort hotel. This can not be modified. If you add a Disney dining plan to your vacation package, it will automatically be added for the number of nights you have reserved at your resort. If you booked a 6-night stay, you will only be able to purchase a dining plan for six days. If you plan to only use your meals for five days of that trip, some meal options take two dining credits and are a great way to treat yourself on vacation.
The
Disney Dining Plan is a must-do for me because it includes table-service meals that can be used at 100s of fabulous restaurants and even includes Character Dining Experiences. Based on the details you gave, if you add this plan, you will receive 6 Table-Service Meals, 6 Quick-Service Meals, and 6 Snacks that can be used any time during your vacation. If you don't plan to eat at Disney World on the last day of your vacation, you can simply use those credits earlier in the week. A great way to use that Table-Service meal early is to book a dinner at one of the fabulous character experiences that require two Table-Service meals to dine.
Fairytale Dining at Cinderella's Royal Table and
Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White will both utilize two Table-Service meals and are well worth it. Each of these restaurants will include a unique, decadent three-course meal where characters come right to your table and interact with you!
Make sure to download and use the
My Disney Experience app to keep up with how many meals and snacks you have remaining throughout your stay. To track your remaining meals and snacks via the My Disney Experience app, visit the “My Resort Stay” section. Then, select “Check Dining Plan” to view the status of your dining plan meals and snacks. You will see the total issued, already redeemed, and still available. If you are getting close to the end of your trip, you can use snacks to buy treats that can be taken home and savored when you start missing the magic of Disney World!
Happy Planning,
Jenna
