Can you buy dining package for only a portion of your party and hope to share food?

    Hi Kristin!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. The Disney Dining Plan is a great way to budget for your trip ahead of time and really make your Walt Disney World vacation feel like an all inclusive!

The way the Disney Dining Plan works is that it must be included for every Guest on your reservation for the length of your stay. This means that you cannot choose for certain members to have it and others to not. You also do not have the option to only have Disney Dining Plan credits for certain days of your reservation. You will receive credits for everyone in your party for each night of your stay.

If you think that the portion sizes may be more than you or your travel companions may need, I'd recommend the Quick Service Dining Plan. For this Disney Dining Plan, you'll receive 2 Quick Service credits and 2 snack credits for each person in your party each night. You could then share some meals and potentially stretch this out to cover three meals a day. I think this would probably be the closest thing to accommodating a smaller appetite, while still using the Disney Dining Plan.
