Ruth,
Yes, you can purchase an admission ticket to
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park on the day that you visit. As you near the entrance you will see the ticket window immediately to the left of the sign for the park that is a big sail with the word "Welcome" painted on it.
The water parks are an often-overlooked part of Walt Disney World, and I am sure you are going to have a wonderful time! I was recently there when it re-opened for the season, and it was looking ship-shape! The wave pool really sets a great ambiance for the whole park. I also am a personal fan of the variety of slides they offer. There is something for family that wants to ride together or for the kids wanting to race each other. There are slides for the youngest of guests and the most daring as well.
On my visit I was fortunate enough to spend some time in one of their
Beachcomber Shacks. While they are an extra charge, when my family is going to spend the whole day there it can make for a nice home base. It also makes us feel a bit more pampered, which is what vacation is all about, right? You can call
(407) WDW-PLAY or
(407) 939-7529 to make a reservation.
Please feel free to write me back directly if you have any follow-up questions. And make sure to watch the video of our recent podcast that was taped at Typhoon Lagoon. That is sure to get you excited for the experience!
Have a Magical Vacation!
