Hello there, Tom! Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and asking an excellent Walt Disney World Resort vacation question!
Though many Guests have their hands full visiting the four theme parks, my family always makes time to visit the
water parks during our vacations to Walt Disney World Resort! Personally, I feel as though they are the perfect option for Guests that want some aquatic fun while also providing a bit of relaxation. There’s just something so soothing about sitting in the sun or floating in a massive wave pool!
Guests are able to either purchase their water park tickets separately or can purchase them as an addition to their
theme park tickets! With the
Park Hopper Plus Option, Guests can hop between the four theme parks in addition to receiving a certain number of days to visit the water parks. With this ticket option, your theme park entry and water park entry are actually separate categories.
So, if you have a 10-day theme park ticket with the Park Hopper Plus Option, you will be able to enter the theme parks for 10 days and also enter the water parks on a separate basis based on how many days you have including with your ticket option. This means your plan to visit both a theme park and water park in one day will deduct one theme park visit and one water park visit from your total number of days.
Typically, my family and I will use our water park tickets on different days than our theme park tickets. This way, we are maximizing the number of days we have activities scheduled and do not feel rushed to get to our next destination.
Best of luck continuing to plan for your visit to Walt Disney World Resort this fall! Please let us know if we can answer any other questions along the way!
