If we buy a 7 day base ticket and we are only at the resort for 6 days, could we use 1 day to go to Epcot in the morning, and 1 day to to go to animal kingdom in the afternoon? It would be cheaper then getting a park hopper but is it allowed?

Hi, Catherine!  If you have a seven day ticket without a park hopper options, it is good for seven admissions on seven separate days.  Unfortunately, you are not able to use the ticket twice in the same day, so you won't be able to park hop with this type of pass.

If you won't be using the seventh day, you can add a no expiration option to your ticket, so that when you travel again to Walt Disney World, you will be able to use the remaining day on your ticket.  You will find, however, that it may be a little less expensive to add the park hopper feature as opposed to the no expiration option.

I hope your Walt Disney World vacation is absolutely magical!
