Hello Diane! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We are so glad you brought your question to us today.
We were all very excited to hear that
Walt Disney World Resort ticket sales and Disney Resort hotel bookings for 2020 would resume July 9, 2020. At this time, new
Annual Pass sales are still on hold. There has not yet been an announcement about when Annual Pass sales will resume.
The expiration date of an Annual Pass will be one year from the date of activation, not the date of purchase. All Annual Passes must be activated in person at a Walt Disney World theme park ticket window,
Guest Relations location, or the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. Please bring a photo ID when activating your Annual Pass.
Last year, I purchased my Annual Pass several months in advance of my Walt Disney World Resort visit. Upon purchasing, I linked the pass to
My Disney Experience. The unactivated pass showed an expiration date of December 2030 in "Tickets and Passes" on the
My Disney Experience mobile app. On my arrival day when I activated my pass at a Guest Relations window, the expiration date updated to be one year from the date of activation.
I hope that helps! Feel free to check back with us again to see if there have been updates regarding Annual Pass sales, and keep your eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for any announcements.
