Want to buy annual passes to use for Oct 2013 & June 2014 trips. If I buy them now, the year expiration won't start until we 1st use them in Oct, correct? If they are not activated until then, can I still use them to book a discounted room only ressie?

    Hi Missy!

You are absolutely correct - your pass will not officially "start" until you first use them in October. That first use will officially start the timer on your year of park visits.

Once you have the Annual Pass exchange card, you will be able to access the Annual Passholder section of the Disney website as well as book your room. Most often, you will need to show the activated pass at check-in at your resort in order to claim the discount. Occasionally they will accept the voucher, but most often the Front Desk will ask that you show the fully activated pass.

Have a great trip and please let the Moms Panel know if we can help with any other details of your trip - we LOVE to help!
