If I buy an annual pass now, but won't be using it until March, does the activation date start now, or when I come use it at the park for the first time ? Also, if I buy it now, do the discounts apply immediately, or only after I use it at a park ?

Hi, Amy!
It's exciting to hear you're thinking about purchasing an Annual Pass!

As a first time Annual Pass user this year, I discovered I was able to enjoy reserving a hotel room at Walt Disney World Resort before I activated my pass. The clock starts ticking once you're on Disney property and you activate your pass with a Cast Member in Guest Services.

Enjoy all of the perks of an Annual Pass! I have really enjoyed it this year. I hope you'll be able to take advantage of purchasing the pass before January 3rd so you can enjoy 13 months of Walt Disney World Resort!
