Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Andrea!
For me,
the holiday season is the most wonderful time of the year to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth. And one of the best things about that time of year is the fireworks and special nighttime shows.
At
Disney’s Hollywood Studios, currently
Fantasmic! crowds are typically leaving the theater when the
Wonderful World of Animation gets ready to begin. Right now the Wonderful World of Animation precedes
Star Wars: a Galactic Spectacular, but
Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! will take its place during the holiday season.
Currently only Fantasmic! and Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! appear on the
Disney’s Hollywood Studios calendar for December, and there’s an hour between the two. In my experience, it is very difficult (but not completely impossible) to experience both. If your seats are in the back of the Fantasmic! theater and you pop out before or immediately after the finale (which is my favorite part), you might be able to make it back to Hollywood Boulevard in time for Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! to begin. The area in front of the Chinese Theater (which is best for viewing Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!) will fill up quickly, though, so finding a good spot that late may prove challenging.
As for the Wonderful World of Animation, there are currently no times listed on the calendar once Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! begins. Of course, this could change at any time, so I would recommend periodically checking online to see if any times are posted. Currently, the show is projected on the Chinese Theater and its surrounding buildings about 25 minutes before Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular begins. There is a possibility that it will also run prior to Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!, but that information hasn’t been released yet.
I love all three of these amazing Walt Disney World Resort
nighttime entertainment options, and I do hope you get to experience as many as you can.
Sunset Seasons Greetings will also be making its return to Disney's Hollywood Studios this year, and you'll definitely be able to see that as you're leaving the Fantasmic! theater. Here's to wishing you and your family a magical visit to Walt Disney World Resort this Christmas, Andrea! Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help you plan.
