How busy will it be in January

    Tracy,

Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!

January is a great time to visit Walt Disney World! But, of course, I think ANY TIME is a good time to visit!

Crowds start out fairly busy as you exit the New Year's Eve holiday, usually extending through the end of the week. This is added to by the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend that runs from January 3 - 7. After that, crowd levels moderate, and you should find that while the parks are far from empty, the crowd levels are both manageable and moderate. There can be a bit of a bump around the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, but the later you go into the month, the lower the crowd levels will be.

    BONUS TIP
Swimming in January? NO WAY! Actually, YES WAY!
Did you know that Disney Resort Hotels heat their resort pools year-round to around 82 degrees (about 28 degrees Celsius)? While they certainly do not reach hot tub temperatures, the added warmth usually is enough to take the chill out of the water, even on a cold day.

Please feel free to write me back directly if you have any follow-up questions.

    Have a Magical Vacation!
