Is it very busy at Disney in October, around Halloween, cause that is the time we are going?

    Hi Baine,

October is a great time to visit Walt Disney World. The weather is typically very pleasant with little rain. The Halloween decorations are great and an add so much to the Halloween celebrations. We have spent the last two Halloweens at Disney World and are looking into another trip for this year. The crowds do tend to swell slightly over the few days surrounding Halloween itself, but we find them no where near as crazy as spring break or Christmas week. If you are looking at leaving prior to the holiday itself, you will most likely find the crowds average and easily manageable. I like to refer to www.touringplans.com when planning my trips. This site uses a large amount of data and research to estimate the crowds on every calendar day, with ten as the largest crowds. In looking at the few weeks prior to and on Halloween, the crowds are expected to be at five or six.

One of our favorite activites at this time of the year is Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom. This evening event is offered on select nights and requires a special ticket for each guest. The evening features a number of character meet and greets as well as stage shows, a parade and fireworks that can ony be enjoyed on these evenings. The event will most likely sell out on most nights around Halloween but is well worth the extra price in our opinion. tickets can be purchased by calling 407-939-3463.

Hope you have a boo-tiful time!
