If the buses start running an hour before early entry/park opening, how soon will the first bus be at our resort? (We are staying at Boardwalk Resort and AK early entry starts at 7:30am. Will the first bus be at our resort at 6:30 or a little later?)

    Hi Erin!

    Welcome to planDisney!

You’re right! Buses to the parks will usually start running about 45-60 minutes prior to the listed Early Entry time. So, if you’re hoping to get on that first bus, it could end up being an early morning!

There are a couple of ways to confirm what time the bus will be at the Boardwalk. First up, you can check your My Disney Experience app. You’ll get access to this feature once you check in!

Click the 3 lines in the bottom right corner, then scroll down to click Hotel Reservations. From there, click Bus Times, and it will show the estimated time of arrival for the next bus. I recommend getting to the bus stop a bit earlier than what’s listed, though. That way, you’re ready to go if it ends up coming before the estimated time.

Another way to find out when the buses will start running for the day is to ask the Hey Disney! device in your resort room. That device has become a favorite in our family! My boys love asking it to tell jokes or stories, and I love getting a heads up on what to expect for the weather that day. You can even ask it to have a character wake you up in the morning with an alarm.

I hope that helps! If you have any other questions as you continue to plan, feel free to come back and visit us!
