Hello Kelly! Welcome back to planDisney!
I'm so glad that you've found help in some of our previous answers and I hope I'm able to give you some valuable information for this inquiry as well.
Staying at the
Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, or its sister site, the
Walt Disney World Dolphin, is a great way to be right in the middle of the magic even though they are not part of the Disney Resorts Collection of hotels. At these resorts you are in walking distance to two of the four theme parks, have easy access to
Disney's BoardWalk, and can take a quick boat ride to jump on the
Disney Skyliner. On the Disney Skyliner you can find yourself easily transported to other Disney Resorts Collection hotels like Disney's Art of Animation Resort, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort or Disney's Riviera Resort. The convenience of this location is one of the top reasons my family and I often stay at these resorts. Strolling "home" after a late night in EPCOT just gives us a magical and relaxing way to end our day.
Since the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin are not a part of the Disney Resorts Collection shuttle bus transportation is provided by an outside company. Busses often run every 20-25 minutes from an area near the front entrance of each hotel. These shuttles provide quick, easy and complimentary transportation to
Magic Kingdom Park,
Disney's Animal Kingdom, both water parks and
Disney Springs.
When leaving the parks most of Disney's Swan and Dolphin Hotel busses will be parked within the Disney shuttle bus area. It would be in your best interest to review the signage posted outside of each theme park to find the number of your bus stop. The one exception is with Magic Kingdom Park. Because transportation is not provided from the Walt Disney World Resort itself, Guests of the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels are dropped off and picked up at the Transportation and Ticket Center. Have no fear though, making a quick transition to the Walt Disney World Monorail or Ferryboat just adds to the magic of your trip! The view from the Monorail as you round the corner and see
Cinderella Castle is the most magical way to start your day!
Remember, you're so close to the action that you won't even need a bus to get to
EPCOT or
Disney's Hollywood Studios! Simply hop on a water taxi or stroll back to your room through other enchanting EPCOT Resort Area hotels!
I hope you have an amazing trip and come back to visit us here at planDisney again soon!
