Are there still buses that pick you up from the Orlando airport to the Disney hotels?

    Hiya Pamela,

Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your Walt Disney World Resort question. There are so many exciting things happening during The World's Most Magical Celebration, including one of our favorites - the new EPCOT attraction, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. You and your space cruiser have been recruited to assist everyone's favorite space heroes - Star-Lord, Groot and the gang - save the universe. This family thrill attraction will have you rocking out to Star-Lord's favorite tunes while you race through the galaxy. It is out of this world!

There is one important detail though before your pixie-dusted adventures can begin. How to get  from the airport to Walt Disney World Resort. You will be happy to hear there are a number of options that will get you from the Orlando International Airport to the Walt Disney World Resort Collection. The top choice would be Mears Connect who offers both a standard and express service option. Their standard service provides shared bus transportation from the airport to the Walt Disney World resorts. This means you may be sharing a bus with guests staying at other Walt Disney World Resorts near your resort. This option will offer a lower cost but you could experience limited stops before arriving at your destination. The Express option, currently offered at select locations, will provide a direct, shared service but at a higher cost. If you have previously utilized the Magical Express, you will find the Mears Connect option very similar to your past experiences. Additional information and reservation options can be found at mearsconnect.com.

If you are looking for a private transportation option, or you are like me and you just cannot wait a second longer to get to Mickey Mouse, there are a number of car or limousine services available no matter how small or large your party size is. The one we recently used, and had a great experience, was Mearstransportation.com. There are also numerous local car services offering private shuttle services to Walt Disney World. A nice feature of using a private car service is they can accommodate most additional needs you may have - like car seats for the ride or perhaps a stop at a local grocery store to grab a few snacks. Two of the more popular private options are SunshineFlyer.com or HappyLimo.com. Information, prices and reviews are available online. Remember all of these locations need to be reserved in advance and you should discuss any special requests at the time you make the reservation.

I hope this will get you quickly on the road to the wonderful Walt Disney World gates. If you need any additional assistance, please stop back and see me.

Hope to see ya real soon,
    Margaret
