Can I take a bus at Disney Springs to Epcot or is there a way to get to Epcot from Disney Springs? If there is walking to do, any estimate on the time of the walk? Thank you. William

Hey there, William! Welcome to planDisney! Your Walt Disney World adventure is just a few weeks away. How exciting! At 25,000 total acres—that’s the same size as San Francisco and twice the size of Manhattan—it’s important to know your way around the Vacation Kingdom. So let’s talk transportation and directions!

There is no direct bus service between Disney Springs and EPCOT, but there are ways to take this complimentary transportation service to the theme parks. There is direct bus service between Disney Springs and Walt Disney World Resort hotels, and from there you can take a bus to EPCOT. The quickest option would be to walk from Disney Springs to Saratoga Springs Resort and continue on to EPCOT from there. You could also take a bus from Disney Springs to BoardWalk Inn, Yacht Club Resort, or Beach Club Resort, and then walk to the International Gateway entrance at EPCOT.

As you head out on your Walt Disney World journey, make sure you have the My Disney Experience app downloaded to your mobile device. Not only can you use the app to manage your tickets and passes, but it also provides step-by-step directions to most locations around Walt Disney World. You just tap a location on the map or search for your destination, click “get directions,” and the app will tell you the travel time and step-by-step instructions, including multiple routes if there is more than one transportation option available.

At the time I’m writing this, the My Disney Experience mobile app is suggesting walking to Saratoga Springs to catch a bus to EPCOT and estimating a total travel time of 51 minutes. Approximately 18 minutes of that is walking.

William, I hope this helps you map out an amazing Walt Disney World vacation. Pop right back to planDisney if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help.

    Magical travels!
