I built a saber in May. However the components of the hilt are often wobbly and loose. The blade also powers on (occasionally) but the upon any movement the blade turns off. I also here the blade detach noise constantly if I do not remove the blade. Help

Bright Suns, Larisa! I hear that the lightsaber you built has encountered some unexpected difficulties and it seems like the Force hasn't been able to resolve them. Thankfully, Obi-Wan Kenobi isn't your only hope! You have found your fellow Jedi here at planDisney who are happy to help you wield your lightsaber once again.

After the battles you have undoubtedly found yourself in against the Sith, a lightsaber may occasionally require additional maintenance to work as expected. Here are a few steps you can take to keep your lightsaber in proper working order:
    • Since the blade seems to occasionally turn off, it seems like it might not be completely attached. First, remove the blade and reattach. Once the blade is completed inserted, try (very gently!) turning the blade to make sure all internal pieces are connected.
    • After the many battles your lightsaber has seen, you may desire to have an additional blade or two! These can be purchased through shopDisney so you're always prepared to defend the light side of the Force.
    • If you would like to try to fix the hilt on your own, first try tightening the bottom "sleeve" of your lightsaber. If this doesn't resolve your issue, you can consider unscrewing the bottom cap and inserting a 1.5" slip-joint rubber washer that can be purchased at a hardware store.
    • If these options don't seem to work, it's clear that the First Order must have been involved. In that case, your best next step would be to contact our friends at Merchandise Guest Services (don't worry, they're part of the Resistance and are ready to help!). You can reach out to them by calling 877-560-6477 or emailing merchandise.guest.services@disneyparks.com
The next time you're able to travel to galaxies far, far away and land on Batuu in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, I hope you're able to continue your journey in new and exciting ways! Personally, my husband and I love to explore the delicacies at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo and then enjoy a refreshment at Oga's Cantina. We find that to be our favorite way to refuel before our next big adventure!

I hope that these solutions are helpful to you! And remember Larisa: as a Jedi, you are a guardian of peace. Your lightsaber is an extension of you and the goodness that you are protecting. May the Force be with you!

    Til the Spires!
