If I build a lightsaber do I have to carry it around the rest of the day or is there a place to pick it up at the end of the day?

Greetings, Regina, and welcome to planDisney!

We're so glad that you brought your question to us! Part of the charm of visiting the Disneyland Resort is bringing some of that magic home with you, so I totally understand wanting to enjoy your day at the Parks without worrying about carrying all your souvenirs around. I recently responded to a very similar question to yours, and I'd be happy to detail the options for you.

    • You may absolutely utilize Disney's package checking service located at various locations around the Resort. In Disneyland Park, you'll find them at Pioneer Mercantile, Port Royal, and The Star Trader. At Disney California Adventure, this service is at Elias & Co., Sarge's Surplus Hut, and Avenger's Vault. In the Esplanade between the Parks, you may also drop off your package at the Disneyland Stroller Shop. They'll hold your package until the end of the day. Keep your receipt to verify that the package is yours.
    • Locker Rentals are located throughout the Resort, but extra large lockers that will fit a disassembled lightsaber may be found in the Esplanade.
    • Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities does sell some rather nice cushioned carrying cases for your new lightsaber if you change your mind and decide to bring your saber along on your adventures throughout the Resort.

If you go in and say hi to Dok-Ondar, consider picking up some extra kyber crystals for your new blade. The last time my friends and I visited, we each picked one up and imagine our surprise when my friend discovered a rare black crystal! My envy would have quickly led me to the Dark Side, so I congratulated her and refrained from buying a few more that I could open. While you're in the neighborhood, I also highly recommend the Cold Brew Black Caf from Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo

Regina, I hope this was helpful for you as you consider building your own lightsaber at Savi's Workshop! Please write to us again if you have more questions because we'd love to hear from you and you're always welcome at planDisney!

Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
