Welcome aboard, Lisa!
Isn't it fun to meet up with other
Disney Cruise Line fans on different online forums before you set sail and then get to meet them in person onboard? My family and I have participated in a few different Fish Extender Exchanges when we've sailed and had a fun time!
For those who don't know, a Fish Extender Exchange is like a Secret Santa-type gift exchange that some guests organize amongst themselves before setting sail. It's not sponsored by Disney Cruise Line, but guests find each other on Facebook groups by searching for the date and ship name of their particular sailing or on Disney fan forums like Disboards.com, then organize small gift exchanges by hanging pockets from the fish-shaped clip outside their
staterooms for others to leave gifts in (thus extending the fish clip - a fish extender).
I checked with Disney Cruise Line, and I'm sorry to tell you that bubbles are not allowed onboard as they can create a slippery environment on the ship's deck. So, perhaps you can come up with a different gift idea for your Fish Extenders. If you search on Pinterest, you'll see all sorts of fun ideas. I'm preparing ideas right now for our sailing this fall and still haven't decided what fun items we'll create to give to those in our group, but I'm having such a great time seeing the creative ideas others have designed! Have fun searching and creating your own magical gifts, Lisa!
