Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, it's off to Magic Kingdom Park we go!
Bruce, I'm so glad you stopped by with this excellent question. If you're anything like me, you love action and adventure. Lucky for us,
Magic Kingdom Park is filled with both and so much more! Where else can you sail with pirates, fly with Peter Pan, and waltz with 999 Happy Haunts all in the same day?
With so much fun to be had, I recommend you arrive at least 45 minutes prior to the official park opening time so you can be there for rope drop. Rope drop is when Guests are officially allowed to enter the park that day. Since it's so early, you typically see lower crowds and less wait times for attractions than you will as the day progresses.
Over the years I've noticed that most Guests head to Fantasyland right away, so your best course of action is to head in a different direction. I can't get enough of The Wildest Ride in the Wilderness myself, so I usually head straight to Frontierland and ride
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. In my experience, there's little to no wait for this attraction at rope drop, so you can ride it more than once. You'll then be able to boot-scoot over and experience the thrill of plummeting down
Splash Mountain. Again, there's typically a short wait at this attraction at rope drop, so you'll be able to visit the "laughing place" as many times as you want.
From Frontierland, I suggest you head to Tomorrowland for some out-of-this world fun. First, go on a galactic adventure when you blast off on
Space Mountain. This indoor coaster is completely in the dark, so you'll really feel like you're rocketing through space amongst the stars. Next, head to
Astro Orbiter where you can pilot your own rocket ship high above Tomorrowland. It's fast, fun, and offers spectacular views of all of Magic Kingdom Park.
Ready to become a Galactic Hero? Then, become a Junior Space Ranger and join Buzz Lightyear in his quest to defeat Evil Emperor Zurg in
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. Remember to compare your score to your family's scores to see who did the most to save the galaxy (and for bragging rights, of course). Even heroes need a break from time to time, so after all your hard work battling Zurg, you might want to slow it down a bit. Head over to the
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover for a relaxing tour of Tomorrowland. This is my all-time favorite attraction, so it's definitely not one to be missed. You can finish your morning by putting the pedal to the metal and driving your own hotrod over at
Tomorrowland Speedway.
At this point, you'll likely need to refuel at one of the many delicious dining locations at Magic Kingdom Park. I suggest booking a dining reservation at Liberty Tree Tavern. Their all-you-care-to-enjoy Patriot's Platter is so tasty, and the Oooey Gooey Toffee Cake is one of my favorite desserts on property.
Bruce and Wendy, there's a great big beautiful tomorrow waiting for you at Magic Kingdom Park!
See ya real soon,
Alyssa
