My brothers family who live in India were planning a trip in December 2025 to Disney Orlando . Was wondering if it gets too cold up there in December and also are all the rides and all the theme parks open during that time of the year?

    Hey there, Karishma!

I'm so happy to welcome you to planDisney, and thank you for sending this question our way! How incredibly exciting that your brother's family from India will be vacationing at the Most Magical Place on Earth so soon...it sounds like such a special trip!

Even though Elsa says the cold never bothered her anyway, I totally get your question...especially when it comes to packing! Florida in December can be unpredictable. Some days are hot, some are cooler, and sometimes it's just perfect. What I do is start checking the weather forecast about a week before my trip. That gives a good idea of whether you'll need pants or shorts, short sleeves or sweatshirts, and jackets. I always recommend packing layers. I personally always bring one hoodie, even if it's supposed to be warm...air-conditioned rooms can get chilly!

Walt Disney World Resort is open 365 days a year, giving Guests plenty of opportunities to experience the magic no matter when they visit! Most attractions are available every day, though some rides may be closed for temporary scheduled refurbishments — or sometimes even due to weather. To help plan your visit, you can check the current park hours for all four theme parks and see which attractions are closed for refurbishments right here

Make sure your brother has the My Disney Experience app downloaded onto his mobile device before his trip. It really makes the days in the parks so much easier. He can check ride wait times, view maps, purchase Lightning Lane passes, mobile order food and beverages, and keep track of dining reservations all in one place. For even more convenience, he should make sure he links his park tickets and any Disney Resort or dining reservations to his My Disney Experience account ahead of time. Having everything ready before he arrives will help him make the most of his visit.

Karishma, I'm wishing your brother the most magical trip at the most magical place! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!
