    My brother-in-law is running the Disney Marathon this January 2011. Can you tell me what activities are available for us ( me, my sister, my 3.5 yr old nephew, my mom & dad ) while he is running the marathon?

    Hi Sara,

    Congratulations on your brother-in-law running the marathon!

    When my husband and cousin ran the marathon, my family went to EPCOT for the day. Since the race ends in this park, you have the perfect advantage to see him run the final leg of the race. You can tour the park while you wait for him and then stand on line to cheer when he comes by.

    Future World will be open at 9:00 am and the World Showcase is open at 11:00 am.

    Just check with your runner about the time he hopes to be in EPCOT at the finish and plan on being there about 15-30 minutes ahead of time so not to miss him.

    To entertain your nephew, you can bring a poster for his dad for him to wave. Also, you get so into the race, he may be entertained by the characters who run by!

    After he passes, casually walk to the family meet in greet outside the park in the parking lot. No need to rush as he still needs to turn in his chip, smile for pictures and get his medal. Try to pick a spot inside the family greet to get a hug from all of you!
