Hey, Elizabeth! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks so much for stopping by with another great question for us. I am so sorry to hear that your family will be unable to enjoy a trip to Walt Disney World Resort later this year. Hopefully, they will be able to fit a bit of magic into their plans soon. In the meantime, we would hate for those
Disney Theme Park Tickets to go to waste, so I have some information to share with you.
As long as they have not yet been used,
Disney Theme Park Tickets can be transferred to another person. If they want to upgrade the existing ticket to another higher priced one, then the cost of each one will be applied to the
purchase price of the ticket they would like. It sounds like those may be tickets for ages 3-9, so they will definitely need to upgrade at least to the tickets for ages 10+. They could also add days or options, such as the Park Hopper option. Note that if they pick tickets that end up costing less than the current ticket's value, they will not be able to receive a refund.
If the tickets are already linked to his son's My Disney Experience account, then they can easily swap the tickets between people if they are linked to each other's
My Family & Friends List. Once linked, his son can just find the ticket in his account and look for the
Reassign Ticket button found next to that ticket. If that link is not there, then he will need to
call the Existing Tickets line for assistance. Some Disney Theme Park Tickets can be upgraded on the My Disney Experience mobile app or
online. Again, if the link to do so is not found within his account, then he will need to call for assistance and may possibly have to complete the upgrade in person.
Thanks again for bringing your question to us and please let us know if you have any others!
