My brother wants to surprise my daughter with tickets to WDW for her spring break. He is a florida resident, and wants to gift her the tickets. Will there be any problems with him buying tickets as a florida resident and gifiting them to my daughter?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Jesica!

You are so lucky to have such a wonderful brother, and he is fortunate to live close to The Mouse! And your daughter is super lucky to have an uncle who wants to gift her a magical experience!

As a Florida resident, he is eligible for fantastic discounts at the Walt Disney World Resort. This includes excellent pricing on tickets and passes. If your daughter is under 18, then he is more than welcome to purchase tickets for her. Since he will be taking advantage of his discount, he needs to be present and show proof of Florida residency for the tickets to be valid. But, if your daughter is over 18, while he is more than welcome to purchase a pass for her still, it will not be eligible for the Florida resident discount.

Jesica, your daughter is visiting at such an exciting time! The Planet of Batuu is now open for outriders and Jedis alike, and the brand new Disney Skyliner will be flying the friendly skies. I don’t know whether I’d be more excited to try the Blue Milk or the global flavors of the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival! The most fantastic thing is that it will be a quick ride through the skies to get to both!

If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to come back. I hope your girl has a beautiful vacation.
