Hi, me and my brother are staying at the Coronado Resort in September and also celebrating my birthday when out there, what are the best restaurants to eat at which aren’t too expensive/ what are the best things to do when celebrating a birthday? Thanks

Hello Katie! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!

You're going to have such a wonderful time when you visit the Walt Disney World Resort and stay at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort! I actually had the pleasure of staying here for the first time just last month and it was absolutely beautiful! My Guest room was in Gran Destino Tower and had a lovely view of Lago Dorado, which means "Golden Lake".  Before heading in for the night after you celebrate your birthday dinner, I highly suggest stopping by the rooftop Dahlia Lounge for stunning views and a birthday cocktail.

September is a perfect time to visit, not only because you'll get to celebrate another trip around the sun with Mickey Mouse himself, but also because the weather tends to be beautiful and you and your brother will be able to experience the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival while you're visiting!  I love EPCOT any time of year, but this festival is especially fun because of all the live music and Global Marketplaces where you can sample cuisine from around the world.

If you're looking for a truly out-of-this-world dining experience for your birthday I suggest looking no further than the new Space 220 Restaurant.  Not only is the food spectacular, but so are the views, as you sit high above the Earth and watch spaceships fly past! If you're looking for a little bit lighter fare but still want to see the stars you can also check out the Space 220 Lounge for a similar experience on a smaller budget.

A completely different, down to Earth, dining experience might be to look for an Advance Dining Reservation at Sanaa, located at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village.  This restaurant boasts spectacular views of African wildlife roaming the Sunset Savanna outside.

No matter which dining option you choose I'm sure you'll enjoy celebrating with your brother in The Most Magical Place on Earth.  When you arrive at your Disney Resorts Collection hotel make sure to stop by the Front Desk or any Guest Relations location outside the Theme Parks and ask for a "Happy Birthday" button! You'll be able to wear it throughout your trip and might get quite a few unexpected "happy birthday" shout-outs!

Finally, if you're planning on spending some time at Disney Springs, stop by Amorette's Patisserie to satisfy your sweet tooth and fill up on a special birthday treat! Their character cakes are so cute and the Mickey Mousse is sure to put a smile on your face!

    Happy celebrating, Katie!
