Hi Laura, and welcome to planDisney. You’re such an amazing sister for wanting to make your brother's honeymoon as special as possible! I helped my sister plan her post-wedding celebration at Disney World and would be happy to chat about what your brother can do for this most magical occasion.
Currently, there aren’t any special offers specifically for honeymoons, but I’d keep an eye on the
Walt Disney World Deals page for ways to save on your brother’s vacation next year.
In the meantime, I’d love to suggest a few magical ways for your brother to celebrate! First is to plan a special meal during the trip. When I want to splurge for a big occasion, I usually head to
California Grill at the Contemporary, which has beautiful views of Seven Seas Lagoon and Magic Kingdom’s fireworks. For an even fancier option,
Victoria & Albert's is an award-winning culinary experience at the Grand Floridian. My sister got engaged there and still raves about the food!
The second thing I’d recommend is to make a reservation for a special activity, and my top pick is doing a
fireworks cruise! A Cast Member will pick up the newlyweds at select Disney Resort hotels and bring them to a prime spot on the water to watch one of the nighttime spectaculars at Magic Kingdom or EPCOT. It’s an intimate way to experience the shows and is practically perfect for a honeymoon.
And my last piece of advice is to commemorate their special trip by getting lots of photos together. There are
PhotoPass photographers throughout the parks who can get lots of great pictures. But for such a special occasion, I’d suggest booking a
Capture Your Moment session where your brother will get a dedicated 20-minute photoshoot inside one of the theme parks.
Popular dining reservations and
Enchanting Extras fill up quickly, so remind your brother to make reservations as soon as his booking window opens. All guests can book 60 days in advance, and Disney Resort hotel guests can make reservations 60 days ahead of check-in for their entire length of stay (up to a 10-night stay). This makes it convenient to get all the reservations done at once, which will be super helpful as your brother focuses on the rest of his wedding planning!
One more thing I wanted to mention—be sure to have your brother pick up complimentary Happily Ever After buttons to wear during the trip. He can get them from many gift shops throughout Disney World and at Disney Resort hotel front desks. It’s a fun way to share their good news, and the buttons also make great souvenirs. When I get home, I like to turn mine into magnets to stick on my fridge (just cut off the pin and glue a piece of craft foam and a magnet on the back). They always bring back so many happy memories when I see them.
For more tips on honeymooning at Disney World, your brother can also check out the resources on the Disney Fairy Tale Wedding's
Theme Park Honeymoons page.
I’m wishing on a star that your brother has the most magical honeymoon next year! And if you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to visit us again at planDisney.
