My brother and I are doing the September 12 Panama Canal cruise and we were wondering if there are more dining experiences other than the Palo and the Tea? As it is a longer cruise, do they have a wine tasting night or something different?

Welcome back, Cheryl! When you set sail this fall on the Disney Wonder through the Panama Canal, you'll have many opportunities to try out some exciting activities and events.

Some of our favorite activities onboard the ships are the unique beverage tasting seminars that take place. We've tried out the wine tastings, margarita tastings, martini tastings, and chocolate and beverage pairings. We've also seen others offered, like a mixology class, beer tasting, whiskey tasting, and cognac tasting. All of them have been really fun and tasty learning experiences. So, besides a meal or two at Palo, be sure to ask about the beverage tastings onboard. Especially for your longer sailing, I'd suggest booking a few of them!

The Cast Members at Guest Services can provide you with times and themes of the tastings so you can choose those that seem best for you. There is an additional cost of around $15 per person for most of the tastings, though some specialty ones, like the chocolate and beverage pairing we tried, can be a higher price. The chocolate and beverage pairing has been our all-time favorite tasting, though, and it was certainly worth the extra charge! Combinations like a Disney-exclusive French champagne on ice paired with a melt-in-your-mouth rich chocolate, or a Napa blend red wine paired with white chocolate and caramel. Yum!

You mentioned Palo as well. Did you know that not only do they offer a delightful dinner at Palo, but a delicious brunch too. Those are usually only offered on sea days, but when you log into your reservation to begin your online check-in, you'll be able to see what reservations are available at Palo. My husband and I do love a relaxing dinner there, but our favorite is actually the brunch. So, try them both if you can!

Have fun planning. Again, please feel free to stop back and let me know if you have any other questions before you set sail this fall, Cheryl!
