Welcome to planDisney! When my advanced dining reservation and Lightning Lane booking windows open, I always get so excited because that means my trip is getting closer!
First, let’s chat about
dining reservations. If you’re staying at a
Disney World resort, you will be able to book your dining reservations for your entire trip beginning at 6 AM Eastern, 60 days prior to your resort check-in date. If you’re staying off property, you can make your dining reservations 60 days prior to the actual date you want the reservation.
When making your dining reservations, you can do so on
Disney World’s website or on your
My Disney Experience app. I personally like to search for the specific restaurant on the website or app, then check the restaurant’s availability from there. It makes things go a little quicker when I’m trying to snag multiple reservations!
Next up,
Lightning Lanes (which used to be known as Fast Passes)! Your Lightning Lane booking window opens closer to the start of your trip. If you’re staying at a Disney World resort or select good neighbor hotel, your booking window will open at 7 AM Eastern, 7 days prior to your resort check-in date. If you’re staying off property, your booking window will open at 7 AM Eastern, 3 days prior to the start date of your ticket for date-based tickets.
The only way to purchase and book Lightning Lane services will be by using your My Disney Experience app. You’ll see the Lightning Lane section right on the homepage of your app. Just click the Purchase button to go through the prompts.
