Hi Mom's! I am brining my Grandma this Dec, she is going through chemo right now and will need a wheelchair while we are away. Who do you recommend to rent from? Do they deliver to hotel (POP) and best for comfort for her and priced well? Thank you

Walt Disney World does a wonderful job of accommodating guests with mobility issues. They have wheelchairs available at all four theme parks as well as Downtown Disney. Wheelchairs are available for rent at guest services/strolled rentals. The cost for rental is $12 per day at the theme parks, and $12 per day plus $100 refundable deposit at Downtown Disney. There are limited wheelchairs available at the water parks.

Keep in mind that wheelchairs are only available for use at the theme parks. They cannot be removed from the parks, nor used at the resorts. If you are looking for a “duration of stay” rental, I would recommend contacting an independent wheelchair rental company, such as Walkermobility.com. They will deliver your wheelchair to your resort, and the rates are very economical. This way you would be able to keep the wheelchair for the entire stay and use it at the resorts as well, which may be a better fit for you.

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!

Hi there! The Disney Parks have been a part of my life since I was a little girl. Introducing my children, husband, and family to all the magic that Walt Disney World can offer has led to countless moments with Mickey and Friends, Disney Vacation Club membership and fun on the high seas with Disney Cruise Lines! Our vacations are usually centered around a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I am super excited to help you plan and create magical moments for you and your families!
