Hi there, Brittney! Thanks so much for sailing by planDisney with your question. It sounds like you have an amazing holiday ahead, and I’m so excited for the memories you’re about to make with your little one!
One of the things I truly love about Disney Cruise Line’s Port Adventures is how they make exploring new destinations easy and stress-free, especially when you’re traveling with kids. These excursions are thoughtfully planned, include reliable transportation, and offer the peace of mind that the ship will wait for you if the tour runs late.
I completely understand your concern about the age restrictions, especially when you see excursions listed as “3+.” In most cases, the age limits for Port Adventures are firm and non-negotiable, often due to safety regulations or third-party tour operator policies. That said, sometimes excursions do allow little ones under age 3, but since they aren’t charged for those adventures, they may not appear in the online booking tool. In these cases, you won’t be able to add your toddler during the online reservation process.
If you suspect your child might be able to join, I recommend stopping by the Port Adventures Desk once you’re onboard (you’ll find it on Deck 5, Midship, on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy). The Cast Members there may be able to assist with adding your little one, depending on the excursion and availability. You could also
give Disney Cruise Line a call before your trip for clarification on any specific tours you’re eyeing.
While each itinerary is different, some excursions in Spain that tend to be toddler-friendly include:
•
Highlights of La Coruna by Land and Beach •
Bilbao Panoramic & Guggenheim Museum •
Cartagena by Land and Sea •
Easy Malaga Walking Tour •
Half Day at Santiago de CompostelaIf you’d like to send us the exact itinerary or ports you’re visiting, we'd be more than happy to help you narrow down which adventures might be the best fit for your family!
Also, if you’re considering some grown-up exploring, Disney Cruise Line offers
"it’s a Small World Nursery" onboard for children under 3. It’s a paid service with trained childcare providers. You’ll want to register in advance, and while you’re ashore, the staff can reach you through the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app if your child needs you.
I hope this helps you feel a bit more prepared, Brittney! Don’t hesitate to reach out again if we can help with anything else.
Warmly,
Eean
