Hi, we're bringing our 3 year old son to WDW in Sept 2012 for his birthday. He loves the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Doc McStuffins characters. What's the best way to ensure he gets opportunities to meet his favorite characters? Thanks.

Welcome to the Mom's Panel, Traci! How exciting that you will be celebrating your son's third birthday while at Walt Disney World this September!  I would recommend booking a Character Dining Experience at Chef Mickey's located in Disney's Contemporary Resort for your son's actual birthday!  Chef Mickey's is a lively, buffet-style restaurant serving delicious dishes at breakfast and dinner. Your son will love being greeted table side by the "Fab 5" for photo opportunities and autographs. The atmosphere at Chef Mickey's is festive, with a special "Celebrate" song being played at intervals complete with napkin twirling and Characters dancing along. Another option is Donald's Dining Safari Breakfast or Lunch at Tusker House in Disney's Animal Kingdom park which traditionally features Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Mickey Mouse, and Goofy. You can book an Advanced Dining Reservation for Character Dining Experiences by calling (407) WDW-DINE or by going online here. Mickey and Friends are available for a Character Greeting at Epcot Character Spot across from Innoventions West in Epcot. Camp Minnie-Mickey in Disney's Animal Kingdom park is another great location for meeting Characters.Be sure to visit Disney Junior - Live on Stage in Disney's Hollywood Studios for an interactive show featuring Disney Junior pals from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Little Einsteins and more. Unfortunately, the Characters from Doc McStuffins are not available for Character Greetings in the parks at this time. Please know that Characters available at Character Dining Experiences and in the parks are subject to change. You can pick up a Park Map and Times Guide when entering the parks for easier park touring and up to date Character Greeting, Dining, Show, and Attraction Times. Please feel free to write me back with any additional questions. I hope your son has a Magical Birthday Trip!
    Happy Celebrating,
    Jodie
