We are bringing our 4 year old grandson and want to do disney and one real special event. Would u please recommend to us some options

Hi, Jackie!  What a treat this will be for your grandson!  I hope the vacation is magical for all of you!

Do you know how many days you want to go into the theme parks?  The Magic Kingdom is the centerpiece of the Walt Disney World crown jewels, and I think when kids think of Walt Disney World, this is what they think of.  I took my nephew when he was five, and he thought the train that takes you from the gate at Orlando International was going to land us right in the middle of Main St., USA!  The order in which I would do the other theme parks with a four year old is probably Disney's Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, then EPCOT.  This is the order my four year old would prefer.

As for one real special event, there are so many!  I cannot recommend enough the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage.  I just did this with my family, and my kids had A BLAST!!  You meet at the Contemporary Resort for snacks and drinks, and a meet with some of your favorite pirates; and then you board boats to head out on the Seven Seas Lagoon, where you have an intimate front row seat for the Electric Water Pageant and the Wishes Fireworks from the Magic Kingdom.  When you return, you have a special meet and greet with Peter Pan!  While the characters are subject to change, this would be a great event no matter what characters were involved.

Another option would be the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue.  This dinner show features music, dancing, and jokes, and a home style feast of chicken and ribs.  This is great fun for the whole family, and a nice change of pace from a regular dinner.

    Have a great vacation!
