We are bringing our 1 year old daughter to Disney for the first time in Sept. I know she is free till three for things like park tickets ect, but what about dining. Does she have to share our food or can she eat for free or do we have to buy for her?

    Hi Mike,

How exciting to be visiting Walt Disney World Resort for the first time with your daughter! This is a great question. Unfortunately, the Disney Dining Plan is not available for children under the age of 3 if the rest of your travel party is considering purchasing the plan. Whether your travel party is on the Disney Dining Plan or not, children under the age of 3 are not charged when sharing from an adult's plate. You will be happy to know your 1-year-old will not be charged at Character Dining experiences or all-you-care-to-enjoy dining locations when sharing from your plate. At restaurants featuring a buffet, you can most definitely choose selections that your daughter would prefer. You are also more than welcome to purchase your little one a kids' menu item.

I hope this information is helpful to you. If you would like dining recommendations or have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to visit us again. Best wishes for a magical trip, Mike!

    Bon Appétit,
