We are bringing our three children (12, 8 and 7) down to Disneyworld for their very first time Aug 9-13 and we are so excited!! I am wondering which theme parks do you recommend we go to, as we only have theme park passes for three days.

The Magic Kingdom is a must. It is quintessential  Disney, and home to the rides and attractions that most people think of when they think Disney. It's also huge; it is what we call a two-day park. Because it holds the majority of experiences for that age group, I do recommend that you spend two days there.

For the third day, my own daughters would choose either Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom. I think the deciding factor would be how adventurous your children are, and their height. If they are thrill seekers and 44" tall they can ride Tower of Terror (my 5 year old's favorite!), and at 48" they could ride Rock N Roller Coaster (my 9 year old's top pick). If they are less daring and would prefer some amazing shows, then Animal Kingdom will be perfect. Festival of the Lion King is our favorite show in the parks, and the Jammin' Jungle Parade here is our favorite Disney parade.

Epcot, while also a great park, is even larger than the Magic Kingdom, and is really a two day park. If you visit there, you won't have time to see a great deal, and I fear you may leave feeling disappointed about that. I personally would go somewhere that I was better able to experience in one day.

    Good luck!
