We will be bringing our son and his grandparents(not seniors yet) to Disney for the first time this year at the end of September for one week to celebrate his birthday. He is two years old, any suggestions on what not to miss?

Hey Jacqueline! How exciting to be celebrating your son's birthday on your first trip to Walt Disney World this September! Be sure to pick up a Birthday Celebration Button at your Disney Resort or at Guest Services inside the Disney theme parks for your son to wear! He will enjoy having cast members and other guests give him Birthday Wishes throughout your trip! You will most definitely want to visit the Magic Kingdom! Some of our favorite "not to miss" attractions are 'it's a small world," Peter Pan's Flight, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Mickey's PhilharMagic, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, and Wishes Nighttime Spectacular! Some of our other favorite "not to miss" attractions for your son's age can be found at Disney's Hollywood Studios and include Toy Story Midway Mania!, Disney Junior - Live on Stage, and Fantasmic!, a breathtaking nighttime show featuring lasers, lights, dancing fountains, and Disney characters. My children absolutely loved riding Kilimanjaro Safaris, exploring the many mazes at The Boneyard, and watching Festival of the Lion King show at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park at this age. I would also recommend a Character Dining Experience for your son's birthday celebration meal! My favorite Character Dining Experience is Chef Mickey's inside Disney's Contemporary Resort. This fun dining location gives guests the opportunity to meet Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, and Donald Duck up close and personal while dining on a scrumptious buffet of American fare.Characters will travel around the dining room stopping by your table for autographs and photos. You can also order a Specialty Cake for your son's birthday celebration by calling (407) 827-2253 at least 48 hours in advance. I am out of room, but please write back if I can answer any other questions for you. Best wishes for a Magical First Trip!
